1) Who is Daniel Flefil? (where are you from, what do you do, a bit about yourself (hobbies, etc)
Who Am I…. I’m a hard working 23 years old living in Sweden together with my girlfriend (that I workout with all the time).
I am a social media influencer and started with Instagram 2 years ago where I saw people do things that I could do, but
much better! and from that moment I said to myself that I am going to get my name out and help people as this is my biggest passion.
I like working hard, but don’t like to work for somebody else so when I discovered that I can do what I love and still making a living out of it, it was an amazing feeling!
I always set big goals in life, goals so big that they almost scare me - nothing is impossible if you really want it.
2) How many years have you been training?
I started very young with swimming and then, soccer and later on kickboxing and now for the last two years I have been doing Calisthenics which is something I
really love and feel that I can connect with fully!
3) Whats been the most challenging/hardest part of your journey so far? and how have you overcome them (set backs, rejections, injuries, basically anything difficult that you have had to overcome)
Wow.. this is hard. But I would say being bullied from a young age because of my Surname and how I was looking ( had big ears and big head so got many names thrown at me all the time) and I did not know how to
defend myself against this.
During a period of 9 years I feelt pretty lonely but always loved working out and always tried to be the best I could be so I could help others, even if I did not get so much help myself growing up.
It’s strange to say but being bullied was the best thing that happened to me, it made me stronger and ready for the world and the ”bad” people in as there are many people who just want to drag you down and not want you to succeed.
4) What does your typical workout/diet routine look like?
I am working out 5-8 times per week, where I do freestyle Calisthenics 4 times per week (ending each workout with strength training).
other training sessions I focus on skills that I want to learn and perfect, like a one arm handstand which I’m working on right now.
For the ”diet” side, I don’t like using that word, because it’s a lifestyle and not a diet.
I have some guidelines.
- Don’t eat junk ( mcdonalnds, fast food, fried food, pizza and so on )
- drink a lot of water, atleast 2-3 liters per day, eat a lot of veggies, and don’t eat red meat.
I allow myself to have a cheat one day per week.
5) What new knowledge have you learned over this past year regarding training, lifestyle and nutrition?
I will give you one quick answer on this….
Everything (almost everything) out there works to get ”lean” ”lose fat” ”get strong” but most people don’t commit to plan and only really try it for 3 months which will not deliver the results being sought after.
6) Whats your favourite cheat/Treat meal?
I would say Pizza :D
7) one supplement that you could not live without?
D-vitamin ( omega-3 , magnesium, zink also :D )
8) If you had to start out from scratch with your physique what would you do differently and why?
I would be more patient and set goals from the start, goals make it much easier to work towards than having nothing to aim at/for.
9) Who do you look upto in the fitness industry and why?
Mohammed Ali.
10) If you had to give one bit of advice to people starting out what would that be?
Dont stress, learn, be open like a book and listen to tips and advice. stick to a plan, and don’t expect to achieve something in just one week. All things take time. What comes fast goes fast, so take it slow.
11) What new goals are on the horizon?
I’m aiming to be able to go to the world cup in street workout, that’s a big goal for me and I want to crush it!
12) Where can people find you? (website, social media accounts)
They can find me here.
