I am a Crossfit athlete and coach, I'm also studying at University to become an Operating Theatre Associate Practitoner. I'm from Kent and my main hobbie is Crossfit :)

2) How many years have you been training?

I started training at about the age of 19. I started at the regular gym and enjoyed a more body building style of training. I found Crossfit about 2 years ago and haven't looked back!

3) Whats been the most challenging/hardest part of your journey so far? and how have you overcome them (set backs, rejections, injuries, basically anything difficult that you have had to overcome)

Last year I tried to qualify for 2 big competitions within the UK, I didn't qualify so I made it my aim to qualify for them this year and I did. I've been lucky with my training and haven't had any major injuries or set backs. Any minor set backs I've had I've just tried to draw the positive from them, way easier said then done though!

4) What does your typical workout/diet routine look like?

I train 5 days a week, 4 of those days being double sessions. I make sure I have 2 FULL rest days a week, that way I always feel fully recovered and avoid burning out. I eat mainly for performance I try not to worry to much about how much I weigh but how I feel and how my performance is going.

5) What new knowledge have you learned over this past year regarding training, lifestyle and nutrition?

The main thing I have learnt In regards to nutrition is to eat all the carbs and all the food! I probably eat more now than I ever have and I'm definitely the leanest I have ever been. I've also learnt how to get in that dark place now with my training, I can definitely push it and get through it when my mind is trying to tell me to quit!

My fav cheat meal changes all the time haha, at the moment it's probably a burger with sweet potato fries, and ice cream I LOVE ice cream.

I don't think I would want to start from scratch with my pysique, I just wish I found Crossfit sooner!

I love Brooke Ence she's awesome and so inspirational.

Advice for a newbie would be to just pick one thing you want to change or implement at a time. Don't overwhelm yourself with a million and one things! It often leads to failure.
