12 Questions with Personal Trainer/CrossFit Athlete Belinda Bekker


1) Who is Belinda Bekker? (where are you from, what do you do, a bit about yourself (hobbies, etc)

I'm from the Netherlands, I'm a personal trainer and crossfitter 

 2) How many years have you been training?

12 years of gymnastics and almost 5 years of crossfit 

3) Whats been the most challenging/hardest part of your journey so far? and how have you overcome them (set backs, rejections, injuries, basically anything difficult that you have had to overcome)

A shoulder injury, I tore a muscle in my shoulder and that happened twice because I started to soon with training again. So that meant weeks of no Olympic lifting and a lot of bodyweight exercises

4) What does your typical workout/diet routine look like?

2 sessions of 2 to 2.5 hours a day. Usually a morning and midday session. 1 mostly conditioning and 1 mostly strength. Diet routine is during the day a lot of bread and for dinner rice,protein and vegetables and quark with granola before bed.

5) What new knowledge have you learned over this past year regarding training, lifestyle and nutrition?

Listen to your body regarding injuries.

6) Whats your favourite cheat/Treat meal?

Chocolate and oreos

7) Whats one supplement that you could not live without?

Proteinbars, easy and tasty

8) If you had to start your Journey from scratch with your health & physique what would you do differently and why?

Besides gymnastics I would of also started with track and field.

9) Who do you look upto in the fitness industry and why?

Katrin davidsdottir, because of her hard work and dedication

10) If you had to give one bit of advice to people starting out what would that be?

Don't forget to have fun!

11) What new goals do you have on the horizon?

More crossfit competions abroad. I love to travel and it is great to combine that with competions.
